CTTP Conducts Training of District Trainors (TODT) on Discipleship
Date: 12-29-21
As part of capacitating the leaders and members of the church, Christ to the Philippines conducted an online Training of District Trainors (TODT) on Discipleship last December 14 and 16 via Zoom.
The training started with a posed question “What is a disciple?” which later on was answered that as for a Christian, a disciple is a follower of Jesus Christ’s way of living with the goal to help others to be a follower of Christ as well. The said training aimed to make each member of the body of Christ to have a correct and proper perspective of what discipleship is and its connection to their Christian life. The program emphasizes that every true Christian is a disciple which is also mentioned in Matthew 28:18-19:
“19 Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”
Some of the topics discussed were Sharing Biblical Gospel, Encounter God Retreat, Staying Connected: The Importance of Mentoring, Who We Are as a Church, and Church Membership, followed by discussions and testimonies from different church districts.
This training program was cascaded to other members of the church on December 21-22, 2021, and will continue this January 2022.
