CTTP ID JOINED LOCAL PRAYER DAY IN KABUGAO, APAYAO

The Christ to the Philippines – Ilocano District (CTTP-ID) churches participated in the Local Prayer Day of the Municipality of Kabugao, Province of Apayao on June 25, 2021.

Kabugao is the capital town of the Province of Apayao where the majority of the CTTP-ID churches were planted. Through the release of Executive Order No. 4, series of 2021, declaring Friday, June 25, 2021 as a Local Prayer Day and a Special Non-Working Holiday which was signed by the Mayor, Hon. Bensmar B. Ligwang. All churches and religious organizations within the municipality are encouraged to conduct prayer meetings in any ways that they can as long as it is compliant to the minimum health standards according to the current quarantine classification of the province.

As stated in the Executive Order, the Local Prayer Day is in celebration of the 108th Founding Anniversary of the Municipality of Kabugao and the municipality as a Christian community believes that the ultimate power emanates from the Divine Providence so it is deemed proper to commit to God for protection against the unseen enemy (COVID-19) and give thanks to God’s immeasurable blessings towards the people of Kabugao.

The said Local Prayer Day was participated by all the churches of different organizations in the municipality. The CTTP churches of Banan, Taracay, Kalliat, Palan-ag, and Guimitan participated in the said activity at the Kabugao National High School Gymnasium, Lenneng, Kabugao, Apayao as one with the other churches of different religious organization in the barangay. Meanwhile, CTTP-Badduat and other churches participated in the activity at their own churches.
