In response to the Great Commission, Christ to the Philippines Inc.  Ligao Chapter (CTTP-Ligao) started an evangelism training to its members last Saturday, August 14, 2021 at 3F Querol Bldg, McKinley St., Bagumbayan, Ligao City.

The training started with the question, "How is a man saved?". It lasted for almost two hours with the whole discussion revolving on Romans 10:13-15 which says, "For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher? And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!".

Senior Pastor Antonio "Tony" H. Albor discussed the role of the mouth, the heart and the ears in the salvation of man. He also emphasized the Christ-centeredness of the activity with these words, "Si Christ ang sentro ng pagsasanay na ito kasi siya ang ating ibabahagi paglabas natin dito."

Pastor Tony also encouraged the congregation to read, memorize and meditate on the Word of God so they can be ready in sharing it to the people around them.

"Kaya kung tayo ay may alam na salita para sa kaligtasan, 'wag na tayong mag-alangan na sabihin sa ating kapitbahay, kaibigan, kakilala, kamag-anak, kapamilya... lalo na sa pandemic na ito! Kaya nga mahalaga ang pagsasaulo ng mga talata. Itatanim natin ito sa ating kalooban, sa ating puso.", Pastor Tony said.

The training has 8 topics for discussion: (1) How is a man saved?, (2) What happened after salvation?, (3) Towards Spiritual Maturity, (4) The Call to Discipleship, (5) The Great Commission, (6) The Love of God for the Lost, (7) Evangelism and (8) How to tell the Gospel? The topics are to be discussed every Saturday for two hours. Currently, the discussion is at Topic #2 which is expected to be completed on September 4. 

The first day of the training was attended by 26 church members on site. Others are attending it online via Messenger chat room.

The training aims to produce people who will have a heart in reaching out to the lost and in bringing out in them the confidence to do it. #CTTPLigao #Evangelism
